Audrey Smith

It is with great sadness that the family of Audrey Elizabeth Smith announce her passing on Wednesday September 5th, 2018 after a brief illness at the age of 90 years. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Stuart Fraser( Oakville) , her children Stuart John ( London) and Sheila ( Oakville ), and her sister, Patricia Burns (Ottawa). Audrey was predeceased by her brother John Harry Burns. Audrey was beloved by her many friends and extended family in both North America and the United Kingdom . Her joy and happiness will be greatly missed at her second home, Captiva Island, Florida.
The family would like to thank Dr Corrine Breen and the nursing staff of 5C- Pod 300 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care.
Friends and family are invited to visit the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Monday September 10th 2018, from 2 – 4 pm and 7-9 pm . A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday September 11th 2018, at St James Roman Catholic Church , 231 Morden Rd., Oakville, at 11am. Following the Funeral Mass, a reception to celebrate Audrey’s long and very happy life will be held at Jonathans Restaurant, 120 Thomas Street , Oakville .
In remembrance, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
