Peacefully, on Tuesday February 20th, 2018 with family by her side at Sunnybrook Hospital at the age of 84. Assunta has reunited with her loving husband Domenico after only 7 months since his passing. Proud Mother of Giovanni (Julie) and Paula (Mike Ferrante). Cherished Nonna of Daniella (Leo), Melissa (Marco), Brandon and Stephen. Our sincere gratitude to all of her neighbors, relatives and friends who comforted and helped over the past few months. A special heartfelt thank you to her compassionate and loving older sister, Lina in Italy, who gave her daily strength and courage from afar. Family and friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home "Weston Chapel" 2035 Weston Rd., Weston on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday February 24th, 2018 at 9 a.m. at St. David's Catholic Church 2601 Major Mackenzie Dr., Maple.Interment to follow at Westminster Cemetery 5830 Bathurst St., North York.
