Assunta Asdrubolini passed away peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Health Center Toronto on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Romolo (Predeceased). Most loved and cherished mother of Renato (Janis), Roseanna (Jon) and Giovanni (Jennifer). Her pride and joy Nonna's Nepotini Amanda (Jesse), Christopher (Renee), Sarah, Emma, Connor, Lauren, Emma and Ella. BisNonna’s loved ones Sophia and Charlie St. John. She will be sadly missed by her brothers Luigi Lupini (Palmina) and Rino Lupini (Eleanor). She is predeceased by her brother Ubaldo (Albina). Assunta will also be fondly remembered by her Zia Delfina, Zio Aldo, and her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Assunta was the oldest of 4 children of Carlo and Emma Lupini. She was born and raised in San Felice, Marche, Italy. She immigrated to Canada in 1958 to join her loving husband and began building their life together in Canada. She provided a loving home to all her siblings that followed her to Canada. She was known to all for the outstanding baking she created in her kitchen and she struck a personal chord with everyone she met. Her dedication, devotion, generosity, and strength has been an inspiration to us all. How proud and fortunate we have all been to have had you as a loving Mamma, Nonna and Bisnonna. The family wishes to send a sincere and heartfelt thank you to family, friends, neighbours and our community of priests for their prayers of support, countless visits and phone calls. To Dr. Hart and Dr. Mascarin, the nurses, and volunteers of St. Joseph’s Health Center for their compassion and tenderness for helping us through this difficult journey. Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905-844-3221).
