It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Antonio Vitti, who is also known to many as Tony. He passed away peacefully yet suddenly surrounded by his family on July 14th, 2022 in his 82nd year.
Antonio was born in Italy on November 27, 1940 to Maria and Benedetto Vitti. Predeceased by his loving wife Palmina. Dear long time partner of Donna. Beloved father of Fiorella (Joe), Maria (Vito) & Domenica (Fabio). Proud grandfather of Daniel, Anthony, Ben, David & Laura. Predeceased by his siblings Mario (Antonia) & Angelo (Pasqua). He will be dearly missed by his extended family and friends.
A family man, who was always smiling. His kindness spilled onto all that he did. He would watch any sport from bocce, Italian soccer to hockey, always cheering on the Italian and Canadian teams, but he loved to watch Ferrari Formula 1 the most. He treasured his children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. He had a vivacious personality and always made friends everywhere he went.
Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Padre Pio Church (5500 Major MacKenzie Dr. W., Vaughan) Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the colorectal cancer resource and action network (CCRAN).
