Antonio Murru

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio Murru on January 19, 2024. 

Predeceased by his wife, Lina. Cherished father of Rosemary (Arthur) and Bruno. Proud Nonno of Luke and David. Dear brother of the late Maria (late Vincenzo), late Pietro (Angela), Vincenzo (Elda), late Domenico (late Maria), and Lucia (late Mario). He will be lovingly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews both in Canada and Italy. 

His family will remember him as a man who was especially proud of his heritage and home country of Sardegna, Italy. A quiet man, who was a true intellectual. He will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved him.  

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (100 Bainbridge Ave. Woodbridge) on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., with entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or Alzheimer Society of Canada.
