Peacefully at Bethell House Hospice on November 17, 2015 at the age of 95. Loving husband of Ada Donovan. Beloved father of Eulalia Maria (Carlos) Furtado, Tony (Filomena), Sue (Eric) Gauthier and step-father to Coleen, Christopher (Linda) and Lisa (Jesus). Cherished grandpa of Robert (Lexi), James (Marissa), Athena (Chris), Tammy (Rob), Lisa (Greg), Mark and Anthony. Precious great grandpa of Emma, Liam, Rosalie, Nolan, Abel, Isabella, Angelique, Arianna and Rory. Predeceased by his first wife Maria da Luz of 49 years and grandson John Michael. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Antonio was a longtime member of the Brampton Concert Band and the Banda Lira Portuguesa of Brampton . He was a volunteer with Brampton Horticultural Society, St. Anne’s Church and Peel Cheshire Homes.
Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Thursday November 19, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday November 20, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, 115 Vodden Street East, Brampton.
Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Bethell House Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Society of Peel would be appreciated.
