It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonietta Giordano who passed away surrounded by her loving family at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital on January 1, 2024. Born to Nicola and Nicoletta Santoli of La Guardia Lombardi, Italy on July 14, 1943.
Antonietta was the cherished wife of Rocco for almost six decades. She was the loving mother of Angela (Mauro) & Frank (Tina). The proud grandmother of Isabella, Anthony, Lauren, Carly & Kayla. Cherished sister of late Pasqualina (late Antonio), late Maddalena (late Raffaele) & Raffaele (Annette). Dear sister-in-law to late Vito (late Giuseppina), late Giuseppe (Maria), Isabella (late Franco), Concetta (late Franco), Angelo, Domenico (Micky), Lina (Domenic) Gaetana (Joe), Raffaele (Milena). Antonietta will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces & nephews.
Throughout her life, Antonietta provided unwavering support to her beloved husband Rocco. Antonietta & Rocco have known one another their entire lives. In fact, they were neighbours who grew up playing together as children and then later in life decided to get married & embark on life’s journey together. Soon after they married Rocco left Italy, travelling to Canada in hopes of new opportunities. A year later Antonietta travelled to Canada, where she & Rocco settled & started a family. They instilled in their children the importance of hard work and dedication. As a result of their efforts and sacrifices, their children were granted numerous opportunities.
Antonietta was well known for her sense of humour. She had a passion for entertaining – she was the life of the party! A social butterfly, she had many different networks of friends. Antonietta developed many relationships through her faith, she thoroughly enjoyed attending services at St. Benedict Parish. She was loved and admired by those close to her and enjoyed deep relationships with many friends and family members throughout the years.
The void she leaves behind is a testament to the profound impact she had on all of us. Yet, in that absence we find the inspiration to live as she did: with kindness, strength, and boundless love.
