She was born in Montalto Uffugo, Calabria, a small village in Italy surrounded by mountains and lush farm lands. At the young age of 18, she bravely and independently immigrated to Canada to begin planting the seeds for her new life. Her husband, Francesco, joined her shortly after. Together, through determination and hard work, they built a bright future and raised a loving family.
Antonietta had a great love and devotion for both her family and friends. She was generous, selfless, and always put the needs of her family and others first. She had many friends who adored and respected her gracious nature. No one ever came to her without leaving happier nor empty handed. She made an impact on those around her with her knowledge of life, genuine kindness, and unwavering faith. She was a lady of nature; in her later years she spent countless days in her backyard nurturing and growing her beautiful garden and sharing her passion with those she loved.
She will be dearly remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends and all those who knew and loved her.
