Anthony da Costa

Anthony Christian da Costa was born in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel Island, Azores (Portugal) to parents Manuel and Berta da Costa (both predeceased). He is survived by his sister Maria Manuela, brother Orlando and predeceased by his sister Paula. Anthony came to Canada in 1965 at the age of 16. He graduated from Lakehead University in 1973 with The Honours Degree of Bachelor of Arts, Economics. Anthony met Sophie Elizabeth Kucharski and they were married in Toronto on June 21st, 1975. They moved to Brampton in 1976 where they raised their two sons, Jonathan Anthony and Alexander Christian. His twin grandchildren, Mila-Rose and Zachary brought him great joy.

Anthony had 27 years of service with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food until his retirement. Over the years, Anthony spent his spare time with family, friends, technology, stamp collecting, model trains, RV camping, his home and cars.

Anthony passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27th, 2020 at the age of 71. He will be fondly remembered by his family, relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Trillium Partners Hospital in Mississauga for the care and support they provided to Anthony.
