Ansie Iantha Carew
July 5, 1918 – July 2, 2017

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Ansie Iantha Carew (nee Kennard) on July 2, 2017 at the age of 98. Ansie is survived by her daughter Brenda Beach (Roger), son Brian (Dawn) and her grandchildren Stacy, Damian (Sofia), Shari Moore (Stewart), and Stephen. Ansie was predeceased by her husband Stephen Carew and her son Stephen Carew Jr. Also by her brothers Claude, Sidney, Gavin and Gordon Kennard. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Eula Menzies and Beryl Fisher and their families. Ansie was born in Guyana and immigrated to Canada with her husband in June 1995. The family would like to thank Dr. Petrea, the Nurses and Staff at Queens Avenue Retirement Residence, CCAC, and the nurses/staff at Care Partners for all the kindness shown to Mom. A Funeral Service will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville in the chapel on Monday, July 10th, 2017 at 11am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Hamilton and Halton would be appreciated.
