Anna Gerarda Morelli

September 26, 1942 to December 29, 2023.

Passed away peacefully on Friday December 29, 2023 at the age of 81. Devoted wife of the late Giovanni Marsello for 58 wonderful years. Proud mother of devoted and loving son Rossano, and proud mother-in-law to his wife Anna. Nonna to Marcus and Lucas, her only two grandchildren, both of whom she cherished beyond all else. Sister-in-law of Ines (Salvatore predeceased) and aunt to Mary (Richard) and Antonette (Umberto).
Anna will be sadly missed by her extended family and many friends. Fondly remembered for her strength and determination in battling a life-long chronic illness and multiple bouts of cancer. Anna touched many lives in many ways. Her love of music, cooking, sewing, knitting, and nature was inspirational to all who met Anna. A trained seamstress, Anna was self-employed at home sewing garments, while happily attending to her family.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, on Thursday January 4th from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday January 5 , 2023 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church 100 Bainbridge Ave., Woodbridge at 9:30am. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Schizophrenia Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
