Anna Magro

Anna Clara Magro was born on February 28, 1921 in Mansue Treviso in Italy and passed peacefully one month shy of her 102nd birthday on January 29, 2023 in Vaughan.

She was the beloved wife to the late Secondo Paolo Magro and together they had 2 children. Gianni and Daniela. Their family grew to include Gianni’s wife Maddalena and Daniela’s husband Mario Segat. Blessings ensued and Gianni and Maddalena had 2 sons, Paolo (Susie) and David (Sheila) and Daniela and Mario had 3 daughters, Lisa (Robert), Lori (Alex), and Sara. Anna loved her children and grandchildren dearly however her eyes had a sparkle when she was surrounded by her 7 great-grandchildren, Daniel, Vanessa, Olivia, Emily, Lucas, Marcus, and Liana. Each one has a special baby blanket knit by her precious hands. A pastime that she enjoyed and worked at daily along with reading, watching the news and Wheel of Fortune. Fortunate to have had her as the matriarch of the family for many years.

She will be missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary (8500 Islington Ave., Woodbridge) on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
