Peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in her 81st year we sadly announce the passing of a very special lady.
Loving wife of Heinz for 57 years, cherished mother to Rosie Wartecker (nee Eberlein) and her husband Sigi, immensely proud grandmother of Steven Wartecker (partner Dana Carlson) and Karen Blackwood (nee Wartecker) (husband Don) and always doting Oma to Paige and Lucas Blackwood.
Lovingly remembered but sadly missed by friends who knew her as Mumla. To all of you, take solace that she will now be served her cake and coffee by the Almighty. Rest in peace - until we meet again!
Visitation followed by a memorial service will take place at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (N. of Lawrence,) on Monday, October 5th visitation at 1:00pm service at 2:00pm.
