Anna Di Chiara

March 7, 1929 — December 16, 2024

Anna Di Chiara

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Anna Di Chiara, née Corbo, on the evening of December 16, 2024. Anna was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose love, wisdom, and laughter enriched all who knew her.

Anna was born on March 7, 1929, in the picturesque village of San Clemente, Caserta, Naples, Italy. As the eldest daughter of Filomena and Nicola Corbo, she grew up surrounded by the warmth and traditions of her Italian roots. She carried these values with her throughout her life, always cherishing family above all else.

Anna now reunites with her beloved husband of 68 years, Michele, and her dear siblings Antonio, Domenico, Luigi, Maria, Teresa, and Gina. Her legacy lives on through her cherished children: Lina (Allan), Pasquale (Mary), and Nicola (Marina). She was a devoted Nonna to David (Kayla), Andrea (Michael), Diana, Michael Justin, Mafalda and Gabriel (Grace), and she is lovingly reunited by her late grandson Michael Giulio. Her joy extended further as Bisnonna to Abigail, Noah, Theo; Luca, Dalia; Stella; Isabella, Gianluca, Ava, Gabrielle and Gianna.

In Italy, Anna was lovingly known as Zia Naninella, adored by her extended family who treasured her presence and warmth. She was a bridge between generations, sharing stories of her youth in Italy that inspired awe and deepened the family bond.

Anna’s life was grounded in her Roman Catholic faith, which provided her with strength and solace. She was a beacon of love and energy, known for her radiant smile and her ability to bring people together around the kitchen table, sharing meals made with care and love. Her cooking was cherished, and her stories of growing up in Italy were comforting and full of life.

Her final years were spent at Aspira Villa da Vinci, where she received tender care and compassion. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff for the kindness they showed Anna over the past seven years.

We mourn Anna’s passing but also celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and devotion. Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her. The family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, embraced by God’s love. She will be profoundly missed and forever treasured in our hearts.
