Anita Barron

Anita Kirsten Barron (nee Lindskow)

April 2, 1938 – November 11, 2020
Anita Barron has gone to join her recently deceased husband John (Ian) Barron in the great beyond on Wednesday November 11, 2020, at age 82.
Anita was born in Orillia, Ontario to Harold “Shorty” and Jenny Lindskow - from Denmark - on April 2, 1938. As a child, she enjoyed playing outside and was on her high school Track and Field team. In her early 20’s, Anita met Ian as he worked with her father at De Havilland Aircraft. They soon married and had three children David Barron, Douglas Barron, and Linda (Barron) Lawson. Anita later became beloved mother in law to Judy Barron and cherished grandmother of Glenn Lawson, Christine and Jeffrey Barron as well as great-grandmother to Taylor Lawson.
For many years, Anita worked at the local library and when she retired, she continued to use her exceptional organizational skills to help keep the local Salvation Army store neat and tidy. Her hobbies included knitting, needle point, paper tole, cross stitch just to name a few. Anita also enjoyed playing cards, square dancing, and camping with Ian as they made their way across North America attending square dance conventions. Anita will be dearly missed by family and friends. In our hearts, we know Anita and Ian are reunited - happily square dancing together once again.
In lieu of flower, donations to either the Salvation Army or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
