Luisa Angiolina Liberi (nee Santangelo) passed away peacefully on July 10, after a brief illness, to be in heaven with her beloved husband Alberto (1960) and cherished granddaughter Nicole Anna Galli (1993). She is predeceased by her parents Maria and Bartolomeo Santangelo and her brothers Giuseppe, Antonio, Renato, and Giovanni, and survived by her sister Iolanda.
Beloved mother of Gabriella (Santino), Eric (Kathy), Maria and Steve (Stephenie). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Luisa (Mark), Albert (Cynthia) and James (Pina), her great grandchildren Andrew, Elisa, Sofia, Chiara, Marisa and Matthaus, and her nieces and nephews.
Angiolina faced many challenges throughout her 103 years but her strong character allowed her to overcome many obstacles that came her way and, as a single parent, she provided a loving and supportive home for her family. In her later years, crocheting became a passion and she created many pieces that she shared with family and friends. Her children will be forever grateful for the many sacrifices she had to make to ensure that they would have a better life and for teaching us the importance of maintaining strong family ties.
A special thank you to the nurses and caregivers at Villa Colombo, for the compassion, comfort and love they provided to mom and the family during this difficult journey.
