It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Angelo Francesco Scarlato (Frenchie) who passed away peacefully - age 61 -in his home, November 25, 2024 in Northern Ontario, Town of Englehart . Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Husband to Patricia, father to Stephano and Gianni, son of late Giovanni and Ilda Scarlato. Cherished by his dear siblings, Eugene, Late sister - Julie (Greg), Franca (Frank), Anna-Maria (Sam) and Marcello (Barbara). Adored by his nieces and nephews Josie (Anthony), the late Ildina, Vito (CJ), Joseph (Nikki), Sandra (Tommy), Giovanni (Diana), Mario, Ivanna, Sara and Yolanda and by his great nieces and great nephews Anna-Lisa, Francesco, Nicholas, Mia, Noah, Gabriel, Giada, Mila, Lorenzo and Valentina.
Loving & devoted husband to his wife Patricia who he loved and cherished always, not a day would go by without him reaching out to her " Good Morning Belle -how are your today?” A father with a big heart. Loving & dedicated father to Stephano & Gianni. He taught his children to love life, work hard, respect one another, be proud and never forget the sacrifices that their family has done for them. Francesco will be dearly missed by his family, but he will be their guardian angel forever.
Francesco was a family man, young at heart full of fun, laughter and adventure - never a dull moment. Always took time to enjoy life, shared his passions with his wife, children, family and friends and anyone that crossed his path. Travelling was a big one. With his motorcycle and truck across Canada, USA, and Alaska through mountains, sun, snow, rain and sleet, nothing could stop him. He always said he was a perfect driver and learned from the best, his father Giovanni.
He enjoyed the love of music, especially Elvis Presley. Memphis was something he checked off his bucket list more than once. He had a love for the taste of fine food which he enjoyed on many occasions, sharing great meals with his brothers, family and friends in downtown Toronto. He always remembered to take the time to write his reviews on how much he enjoyed the food.
He had taken many trips including Mexico, Florida and Columbia where he made memories that he spoke about for hours on end. Family gatherings were one of his favorites, sitting around the dinner table enjoying great homemade meals, recipes carried down from his loving mother. He valued traditions and recipes from his mother Ilda and wished for them to be carried forward from generation to generation- that was his hope.
His home in the country was his peace and serenity, up at the crack of dawn, breathing in that fresh air, sitting on his porch enjoying his espresso. Sharing stories of his life with his university students gave him joy and happiness. Not a day went by that he didn't call or message each of his loved ones while he sat outside staring up at the beautiful blue sky, soaking in the nice hot sun. He always made a point of connecting and calling his old buddies from Paradelle. Enjoying his colorful garden. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
Francesco is now reunited in heaven with his loved ones, late parents - Ilda & Giovanni Scarlato, late sister - Julie Galati, late niece- Ildina Galati . They will be held dear in our hearts forever.
Rest in peace dear brother. Our Guardian Angel
