SCAUZILLO, ANGELA


Our dearest Angela, after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away on Tuesday, June 14th 2011 at the age of 47. Angela was the loving wife of Mike and caring mother of Alessia and Michael who will miss her dearly.

Angela was the precious daughter of Carmine and Maura Genitti and grand-daughter of Brigida. Their continuous love and devotion for their daughter was the foundation for the strong woman that Angela was.

Angela will be lovingly remembered by her extended family members: mother and father-in-law Ida and Adolfo, aunt and uncle Ernesta and Andrea, cousins Cesare and Tony who adored Angela like a sister, brothers and sisters-in-law Arthur, AnneMarie, Angelo and Cathy, and her nieces and nephews Andrew, Sarah, Nicole, Alessandro and Alana.

Angela held a special place in her heart for her lifetime friend Nancy Basso, who was there every step of the way. Newfound friend Nancy Samuel, whose selfless devotion to Angela during the final months of her difficult journey, was unparalleled and truly remarkable. Angela will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

A special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Princess Margaret Hospital, who treated, cared and comforted Angela during her 5 year battle and her final days.

The family will receive friends at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway #7, Woodbridge, on Friday from 6-9pm, Saturday 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm and Sunday 5-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Parish (1415 Royal York Road) on Monday, June 20th at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to Princess Margaret Hospital.
