Anastassia “Tassy” Trenton
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mother Tassy Trenton on Sunday December 27, 2020 at the age of 84. Devoted wife of Spiro of 66 years. Proud mother of George (Kathy), Nick (Heather), Rebecca (Mitch) and Lori (Tony). Cherished & Proud Grandmother of Elizabeth (Jeremy) Vanessa (Mike), Jason, Nikki (Luke), Jeffrey, Tiffany and Noah. Loving Great grandmother of Logan, Jacob and Sydney.
Anastasia will be sadly missed by Virginia, Joann and Frank. She will be forever remembered by her sisters Marianna (Marian) Swancar; Elenora (Nora) Paige & brother Paul Alexander sister-law- Isabella Centofanti; nephews Nikolas & Kristofer Alexander. She will be fondly remembered for her love of her family, her radiating smile that would appear every time she would see her children and grandchildren.
She was born and raised in Athens, Greece on March 1, 1936. Upon completion of her education she took a leap of faith and immigrated to Toronto, Ontario Canada for an adventure of a lifetime. Tassy made a choice to say yes to marry her beloved husband, Spiro and to start a family. They established themselves in the neighborhood of York, Ontario and raised and cherished a loving family. Tassy was passionate about her children. She was integral in family life where she was a role model for her children and all those who knew her. She enjoyed being involved with family life. Actively engaged in the family business (Bills Coffee Shop, 527 King St.W) and remembered for her strength and strong opinions in matters that related to her family. She enjoyed her gardening with her displays of flowers, especially her beautiful roses. She was also an animal lover and would feed all the stray cats in the neighbourhood, birds, even the squirrels & raccoons soon seemed to call her ‘mom’.
Tassy’s kind, caring and warm hearted soul will bring warmth and love to everyone who knew her.
A heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff at Burton Manor who provided compassionate care to Tassy.
Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
The Funeral arrangements made are entrusted with the Ward Funeral Home (Weston Chapel 2035 Weston Road, Toronto, Ontario).Due to the current pandemic situation the family’s services will be private.
Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the funeral service and interment will be private.
