ANASTASIA TASHOS (NEE KAPAHTSIS)

Born December 20, 1923- January 29, 2022. Sia passed away as she wished, peacefully in her own bed at home. Loving wife of the late Steve Tashos. Sia was born in the Village of Vogatsiko, Greece and came to Toronto, Canada in December 1964 with her mother Katerina to join her siblings, the late Trendafilos, Agnoula, Helen, and Toula. Sia lived an incredible life and so loved to care for people and prepare wonderful feasts for her family, neighbours and friends. Her sweet legacy of love and generosity was shown towards all. Sia never forgot her homeland in Greece and her friends and family living in her village of Vogatsiko. Sia’s remaining family, the Christopulos’, brother-in-law Jimmy, nephews and niece, Anna (Jean-Pierre) Chris, Billy, the Kapahtsis family, nephews George and John, the Korexianos family, nephews, Pantele, Steve (Mary), the Vassiliadis family, niece and nephews, John (Deb), Sophie Stoneman (Steve) Peter (Lori), along with all her great nieces and nephews will always fondly remember her love, laughter, generosity and will miss her always. Sia left this world but not our hearts.
Please join the family to celebrate Sia’s life at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road on Friday, February 4th, 2022 from 12-1pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 1pm. Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
