She was born April 17, 1922 in Cervinara, Avellino in Italy to the late Stefano Marchese and Giuseppina Marchese Picca.
Amalia was married to the late Beniamino Taddeo in 1958. They moved to Milano and lived there for 4 years. In 1962 they immigrated to Toronto.
Amalia enjoyed a good party with great food as well as singing, dancing and socializing with her family and friends. In the summers she spent endless time growing, nurturing and harvesting her vegetable garden.
She is survived by her nephew Giovanni and his wife Eleonora Falco and her grand nephew and grand nieces here in Toronto. Her sister Antonietta Maietta and her nephews Domenic (Barbera) Maietta and Anthony Maietta in the USA, as well as the many nephew and nieces overseas.
