We regretfully announce the passing of Alton Pritchard Ballantyne, who passed away on April 17th, 2024 at the age of 86. He was the husband of Jessica Ballantyne and the father of Jennifer, Elliot, and Linette. Alton was a loving grandfather to Carey, Lori, Kirk, Tyanna and Laila and a great-grandfather to Demiah(predeceased), Iziah, Olivia, Giovani, and Deivani. He was a brother to Hulda, Martin, Everal (predeceased), and Darcy(predeceased). He will be forever loved and forever remembered by all of his family and friends.
Alton, fondly called Pritchard by all who loved him, was more than a father and husband to his family; he was the cornerstone of our family’s existence, shaping our character with his tender care and unwavering support. His laughter and mischievous nature echoed through our home, a melody that resonates in our fondest recollections. We find comfort knowing that though he may have embarked on his final journey, his spirit will live on in the joy and laughter of all those who encountered this amazing soul.
Family and friends will be received for Alton’s viewing at the Ward Funeral Home located at 2035 Weston Road on Thursday May 2, 2024 from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Church of St. Stephen Downsview located at 2259 Jane Street on Friday May 3rd, 2024, at 10 a.m. Viewing at the church will commence at 9 a.m. -10 a.m. before the funeral service begins. His burial will take place at Beechwood cemetery located at 7241 Jane Street, Concord, ON.
