It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother/grandmother/sister/wife/friend, Althea Elrington, who left us on October 17th, 2024, at 73 years of age. Althea was born on September 26, 1951, in Belize and came to Canada in her youth. She had a deep passion for travel, nursing, school, books, and music. Althea was a nurse who dedicated over 30 years to caring for her patients. Althea loved to live life to the fullest. She has been around the globe from Middle East (going up Mt. Sinai), China (being one of the last visitors to travel the Yangtze River), the Caribbean (dancing in her bathing suit in Cuba) and Europe (taking the elevator up the Eiffel Tower). She lived for travelling, learning, strengthening her relationship with God, and listening to her favourite music on CHFI.

Althea is survived by her husband, Joel Ralph Stanbrook, her son, Brian Elrington, daughter-in-law, Glady, and her granddaughters – Jadzia and Ziyal. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews, her amazing friends and all who knew her.
We miss you very much Althea, may you rest in peace. Thank you for your generosity, thoughtfulness, kindness, your healing touch, and your great zest for life.
