Allison McCracken

B.H.Sc Allison Marie McCracken (nee Wells)
July 26th,1927- March 10th, 2016

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in her 89th year at the Malton Village Long Term Care Centre. Beloved wife of 63 years of the late Dr. Hunter McCracken . Loving mother of David (Young Ah), Ann, Dr. Doug (Nancy) and Donald (Carole). Cherished grandmother of Michael (Carlye), Geoffrey (Krista), Mitchell, Harrison, Nathaniel, Michelle, Nicolas, Great Grandmother of Hannah, Olivia, Brayden, Sydney, Xavier, and Colby. Allison is predeceased by her brother Barry (Shaughan) Wells and will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Winnipeg and raised in Regina, Allison graduated from the University of Saskashewan in 1949. Allison interned as a Dietician at Heart House, U of T where she met the love of her life, Hunter. The family would like to express much appreciation the caring staff at Malton Village LTC. Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, “Brampton Chapel” (52 Main St. S, Brampton) on Thursday March 17th from 7-9pm and on Friday March 18th from 10-11 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church with a funeral service to follow, commencing at 11am.
