Allen James Freeman (Al)
Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness*
While his death was a shock to us all, his life was full and he touched so many with kindness, laughter and friendship. A warm, generous person with a great sense of humour, Al loved curling, golf, fishing, hunting, music and volunteering, especially at a local “reuse” store where he was the electronics guru and an enthusiastic shopper!
Always willing to help friends and neighbours, from learning to curl, to snow removal after a storm, to fixing all kinds of things, he was well respected and liked. His family, including son Mark and Erin and grandsons Ben and Will, all those up north, out west and in Quebec, all had a special place in his heart. He valued his long time friendships and fishing buddies. His life with Kathy was a wonderful journey, filled with love and joy. He will forever be in our hearts.
A Celebration of his Life will take place in the future.
Special thanks to the medical professionals for their heroic efforts.
Donations to your favourite charity in his name would honour him well.
*Written by a neighbour in a note of thanks for helping with so many things.
