Allan and Edith were married in Montreal in 1950, shortly after, planted their strong family roots in Toronto and later in the small village of Kleinburg. The branches of Allan’s life quickly expanded with the birth of his children and his career with Simpson-Sears. After retiring from Sears in the mid 80s, Allan found himself back at work, kickstarting a second career selling imported textiles.

Allan loved spending time with his family, playing golf and reading. He was an avid golfer, playing well into his nineties. When he was not on the golf course, he would often be found in his sitting room with a book in hand.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Louise, Allan’s caregiver for the past 5 years and to Natalie Rennie for her compassion and dedication to her grandfather in his last days.

Allan’s family will be holding a private memorial service.
