Passed away peacefully in Brampton Civic Hospital on Friday, May 28th 2010 after complications resulting in septic shock. Cherished wife and best friend of Richard, who predeceased her in October 1990. Alice will be lovingly remembered by her son Keith and his wife Lynn, daughter Carole and her husband Dave, grandchildren Rick Smith and his wife Shirley, Andrew Smith, Mark Smith, Shannyn Mara and Sean Mara, and great grandchild Amber. She will be missed by her sister Marjorie and her husband Walt in England, nieces and nephews in England, niece Carol Mata in Montreal, nephew Brian Malley and his wife Joyce in Kingston, niece Avril and husband Don, friends and neighbours on Windermere Court in Brampton. Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel", 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Eucharistic service of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 11:00am in St. Alban the Martyr, Anglican Church, 19 St. Alban’s Drive, Acton. Burial to follow in Brampton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, the local SPCA or a charity of the donator’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
