ALFREDO ARNONE January 23, 1931 - October 18, 2009 Alfredo Arnone, 78, passed away peacefully in his sleep in his Woodbridge home on Sunday, October 18, 2009. He was born in Celico, Cosenza, Italy, the son of Saverio and Maria, and immigrated to Toronto in 1951. He is survived by his loving wife Norma; daughter Tina; cherished granddaughters Jessica and Julia; son Rino; daughter-in-law Cathy; newborn grandson Alfredo Jr.; mother Maria; sister Letizia (Angelo); and brother Frank (Kathleen). Alfredo was greatly devoted to his family. He founded Bona Foods Ltd. in 1966 with partners Tony and Salvatore. Alfredo loved reading, listening to opera, trapshooting and watching sports. He will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy. 7, just west of Pine Valley Dr.) 905-851-9100, on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 23, 2009 at St. Clare of Assisi Church, 150 St. Francis Ave., Woodbridge at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
