Alfonso Gallucci

Francesco Alfonso Gallucci, born February 13, 1920 passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Etobicoke General Hospital on April 24, 2014 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of 65 years to Sestina . Loving father of Josephine (Joe Constantino), Franca (Domenic DiGiacomo) and John (Silvia). Cherished Papa of Angela (Andy Crescenzi), Andrea (Frank Pennese), Joseph, Alessandra, John, Stephanie and Marc. Loving great grandfather of Emma and Kate .

After serving in World War II, he married Sestina DeVuono in Aprigliano, their home town in Cosenza, Italy. On his birthday in 1951 he arrived in Canada. Shortly after , he started a successful business in construction and real estate development which has lasted almost 60 years and continues to thrive. More importantly, throughout his career, Alfonso earned the respect and admiration of his peers.

All the while, his love and devotion for his family remained his top priority.

His family wishes to thank Dr. Varga, Dr. Khalil, Dr. Fisher, Dr. Acosta and the late Dr. Teglas. As well, we are especially grateful to Ivy Peart and all of our compassionate caregivers.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from
2-4 pm and 6-9 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints’ Roman Catholic Church 1415 Royal York Rd, Toronto on Monday, April 28, 2014 at
11:00 am.

Family has requested a private entombment following the Mass.
