Zaia, Alfieri – a.k.a. ‘Fieri’

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 31, 2022 in his 94th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Clara (Palù). Beloved father of Claudia (Silvano), Carmen (Mauro), Susan (John) and Loris (Diane). Dear grandfather of Andrea, Denise, David, Marco, Adam, Daniella, Robert, Melissa, Cassandra and Stephen. Proud great grandfather of Maisie and Lou.

Alfieri was an independent man, who was passionate about fishing, hunting and nurturing his vegetable garden. His huge garden was tended with such love and care and he took great pride in sharing garden produce with his family, friends and neighbours. He was a master carpenter, wine maker and charcutier. His homemade specialty cured meats were second to none and he enjoyed sharing them with friends and family. We were each touched by his presence, and we are all better because of it.
