Alex "Al" Stevenson

Passed peacefully, at Extendicare Nursing Home in Brampton, on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Al was in his 99 th. Year. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee) Sawchuck (2009). Loving father of Gary Stevenson and his wife Lorna. Lovingly remembered by granddaughters Laura and Joanna. Predeceased by his sister Mary and by brothers Douglas and John.

Alex while was a man of few words but loved telling jokes albeit they could be very corny. He was a gentle soul who was very family oriented and doted on his granddaughters. Gardening, crib, Euchre, traveling, and dancing were his and his wife’s passion However skiing which he took up later in life at age 45 was his favorite. Family ski vacations with friends were the high lite of the year. When others were heading south we were looking for snow.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (Brampton Chapel) 52 Main Street South, Brampton on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel.
