Peacefully, at Wyndham Manor Oakville on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Harvey Whitfield Jones (1997). Cherished mother of Judy Elizabeth Cascone (and the late Vincent), Donna Amy Salem (Sully) and James Harvey (Denice). Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Rhonda, Brandon, Scott, Aletha; by great-grandchildren Julia, Mark, Vincent, Michael, Ethan, Rowan, Kiya and great-great-grandchild Sophia. Survived by brother Jack Batstone (and the late Mame) sisters-in-law Lorraine Wheeler, Blanche Batson (and the late Gerald) and predeceased by sister Nellie Ivany (and the late Johnnie). A celebration of Aletha’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 114, 36 Upper Middle Road East, Oakville, on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. with tributes to start at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the A.L.S. Society of Canada would be appreciated.
