It is with great sadness that the family of Aldine Flaxman announces that she passed away at Humber River Hospital in the early hours of September 22nd at the age of 93. Aldine had been hospitalized for 11 days suffering from age related issues complicated by ever progressing Alzheimer's disease.
Aldine, born in Toronto, is predeceased by her parents Robert Fiorelli and Helen Fiorelli (nee Baldwin), as well as her husband Kenneth and her second daughter Nancy.
Aldine leaves behind her sister Carolyn Jemmett, her first daughter Susan MacLean (Gary), and two grandchildren, Shannon LeNormand (Guy) and Adam MacLean. She was also blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Jared, Matthew, Andrew and Kaitlyn Lenormand whose constant presence in her life surely contributed to her making it into her nineties .She will be forever remembered by a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends whose lives were enriched by her kind and loving spirit.
Aldine had been a long time employee (43 yrs) of Aeroquip Canada where she developed friendships that lasted from her retirement in 1993 until the end.
There are special people in this world whose presence will never leave us, even in passing. Aldine truly was one of these people. For those of us who knew and loved her, we have been blessed.
