Alberta ALLEN Nee Brohman

Alberta entered eternal life peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday September 11th, 2015 after a short stay in hospital following a severe stroke, at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband Bill in July 2009, and will always be cherished by their children Pat (Jim Holmes), Ruth (Cliff Friesen), Jim (Linda Craig), Mary (Gregg Rodgers) and Joe (Ruth Curran); her 13 grandchildren and her 21 great grandchildren. Alberta was born in Guelph, one of 8 children and is predeceased by her two brothers. She is survived by her two older and three younger sisters, still alive in Guelph. Alberta was known for her beautiful smile, generous spirit and the warm welcome she gave to everyone she met.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Ward Funeral Home, Brampton Chapel (52 Main Street South, Brampton) where visitation will be held on Thursday September 17th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church (66A Main St. S, Brampton) on Friday September 18th, 2015 at 10:30am with burial at Meadowvale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alberta’s name to Canadian Food for Children, Sleeping Children Around the World, and Campaign Life coalition
