Adriana Di Florio

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest matriarch Adriana Di Florio, who passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by her beloved family in her home.  

Beloved wife of Gino for nearly 70 years. Devoted mother to Enzo (Margaret), Lucy (Robert), Dina (Dave), Tony (Mary) & Carlo. Cherished Nonna to Kristofor (Andrene), Amanda, Mark (Analise), Nicole (Mark), Anthony (Daniela), Lukas, Jennifer, Michael (Sandy) & John. Proud Bisnonna to Nathan, Kristofor Jr., Ryan, Maximus, Matthew, Axavier & Emilia.  Dear sister of the late Ada (late Tony), late Lelio (late Ines) & Domenic (Maria). She will be lovingly remembered by her extended family & friends. 

A woman of strength beyond expectation, she was dedicated to her family and was the matriarch of her household. Her eyes lit up when she was surrounded by her loved ones. There are no words to describe her immeasurable love for them. Always cooking traditional Italian meals, her family remembers her bocconotti cookies that she would prepare so lovingly. 

When thinking of Adriana we can agree that she has been a pillar of strength, a source of unwavering love, and a woman who always put the needs of others first. Her grace, humility & genuine kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. Her legacy of love & compassion will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

All are welcome to gather at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. Private entombment for family to follow at Glendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Sick Kids Hospital.
