At Trillium Mississauga Hospital on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in his 90th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Elizabeth (Bette) Hill. Cherished father of Doug (Colleen) and Nancy. Devoted grandfather to Jim, Mike (Ewelina), Derek (Amanda) and Ashley (Mike) and great-grandfather to Blake, Travis and Colton. Dear brother of Barbara Martin of Sault Ste. Marie.

A proud veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy Stew was a dedicated educator for 47 years with the Weston and City of York Boards of Education. He had a passion for golf, travel and Old Timer’s hockey and will be fondly remembered as a gentleman with a great sense of humour and a zest for life. A special thank you to the staff and friends at Evergreen Retirement for your care and support. He was so fond of all of you!

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held at Central United Church, 1 King Street, Weston on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 1pm. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers as expressions of sympathy, donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be appreciated.
