Bishop,
A. Joyce (nee Whyte) - After a long and fulfilling life, Joyce passed away peacefully on February 15th 2022. Joyce was born December 28th, 1930 in Seelys Bay, Ontario. She was a dedicated wife to Eugene Bishop of Brampton, Ontario (predeceased) for 58 years.
Devoted mother of Lynn Bula and doting Nana of Beej (Lisa), Brian, Melissa (Adam), Maxwell and Benjamin . Daughter of Jack and Pansy Whyte, Sister of Barbara (Hans), Sandra (Gordon), predeceased by Viola (Doug), Jack (Lorna). Joyce was a longtime employee and
retired from H.T. Wilson’s Insurance. In her youth she had a dedication to sports and music, with a passion for baseball and piano. She was devoted to Christ and Grace United Church of Brampton where she spent time teaching Sunday school, CGIT and decades on
the UCW helping to organize numerous fundraising events, including yearly Fashion shows with Elizabeth’s boutique and her infamous jewelry table at the Christmas Bazaar. She was also a longtime member of TOPS, enjoying yearly girls trips across Canada to conventions.
Joyce was an avid baker, loved music, theater and to read. She was deeply dedicated to her family, keeping a soft space in her heart for all of her nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all of those who knew her, though, we find solace in knowing we are
better and stronger people because of her. A funeral service will be held on Saturday,
February 19th online at www.graceunitedbrampton.com
