Robert Jotautas

Robert Johannes Jotautas – June 7, 1951 to January 26, 2023

It is with great sadness that we annouce the passing of Robert Jotautas, husband, father, and grandfather.

Robert passed in Brampton Civic Hospital on January 26, 2023 at the age of 71.

Robert will be deeply missed by his wife, Catherine, of 48 years and his two children Michael and Rebecca. Robert adored and will be missed by his 6 grandchildren, John, Victoria, Lucas, Jack, Max, and Ben.

At work, known as “Bob” and “Bobby-Jo”, he dedicated a 36-year career to the Toronto Police Service. His devoted service began in 1975 where he assumed a variety of roles serving the City of Toronto and retired as a Detective Sergeant in 2011.

He had an inspiring sense of adventure and he, Catherine and their children share many memories of traveling together as a family to Jamaica in the Winter months. The Grand Canyon, New Orleans, New York City, Banff, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney Australia were some of the many other destinations Robert and Catherine visited along the way.

Robert was strong, kind, hardworking and a family man and he will be dearly missed by colleagues, friends and family.

An informal celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 1pm-4pm in Brampton.
