Paul Kopy was born on January 5, 1958 in Swidwin, Poland to Theodor Kopy (deceased) and Anastazia Kopy (deceased). Paul being the youngest, was cherished and protected by his older siblings, brother Walter (pre-deceased) and sisters Mary and Stephanie.
Paul was a lover of all good things. His favourite bible verse is Philippians 4:8 KJV:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Paul loved the outdoors and this was evident with his recent retirement after 31 years from the Toronto Golf Club in Mississauga. He loved the great game of golf, whether playing or watching on T.V.
He was a regular on the Humber Trail, walking, running or cycling. Paul was an avid reader and his knowledge of world history, politics, geography or current news, was truly enlightening to all those in his company.
Paul was a self-taught guitar player and would belt out tunes that would enrich one's soul. His talents did not stop with his musical abilities, as his home displays many art pieces that he painted over the years.
Paul fought valiantly against a cancer he could not beat. He leaves behind his sisters Mary (Lon), Stephanie (Paul), his nephews and nieces George (Lynn), Natasha (Anthony), Matthew (Ashley), Michael (Carolyn), Kristan, great nephews and nieces Luke (Karen), William, Hannah, Gabriel, Autumn, and Samuel.
Paul would often play on his guitar "Empty Chairs" by Don McLean.
Paul's chair will remain empty but our hearts are filled with love and wonderful memories of the life he shared with us.
Rest in God's care Paul, until we meet again dear brother and uncle and friend.
