It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear Morris, on July 27, 2023 after a brief illness. He will forever be remembered as a beloved husband to Mirella, loving father to Dalia and Matthew (Kim), devoted son to Vilma and Angelo (predeceased), cherished brother to Sonia (Steven), and caring uncle and brother-in-law to many.

Mirella, Morris’ high school sweetheart, was the love of his life. Together, their greatest accomplishments were their children. Morris was a one-of-a-kind man and his loss leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him, including the many close friendships he maintained for decades.

Morris was happiest with a glass of wine in his hand, cooking a gourmet meal while having a laugh telling stories and jokes. He loved to travel and was always up to try new things - enjoying his retirement to its fullest.

A man who could fix anything, Morris was the go-to for his family for any problem, big or small. He filled this role in his career as well, spending over 30 years at the City of Richmond Hill in the Building Services Department. Whether at work or at home, Morris was the man who had the answers.

The family extends their gratitude to the caring and attentive staff at the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, and in lieu of flowers, donations to their Critical Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.
