Linda Jean Mayne

It's still a bit surrreal to be writing this post, but I wanted to let everyone know tha my beautiful sister Linda Mayne passed away this morning after a valiant battle with cancer. For those of you who knew her as a friend, a colleague or both, you know she never gave up and when the time came she passed peacefully and comfortably, the two things we all wanted.

Linda was a beloved sister to Janice and Glen, and a wonderful aunt to Steven, Christopher and all of their friends. To every one of them she was Aunt Linda.

Everyone who knew Linda loved her for her generosity, spirit, honesty, energy and always for her wonderful cooking, especially those SuperBowl Sunday feasts.

The picture is from a trip to Broadway for Linda's birthday, between her voracious reading and love of show tunes and Broadway shows, Linda's life was full and busy right through her retirement.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel" on Thursday August 10, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a service celebrating Linda's life to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Breast Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family.
