BRYCE DENNIS
It is with great sadness that we announce Bryce Kelvin Dennis passed away on May 13, 2016 at the age of 60 with his devoted wife and best friend, Nadia Danylyk, at his side following a heroic battle with cancer. She will miss him and treasure him forever. Bryce was predeceased by his parents Charley and Katherine (Kay) Dennis and brother-in-law Edward (Ted) Meredith. Bryce will be greatly missed by his daughter Lesley Dennis, granddaughter Sophia, his son Jeffrey Dennis and his siblings, Connie Taylor (Marvin Naftolin), Cheryl Meredith, and Neil Dennis (Tetia Cassidy). Bryce will remain forever in the hearts of his niece, Cari Meredith-McMurray (Colin) and their daughter, Alexis; and his nephew, Grant Meredith (Trish Lardie), and their daughters, Allyson and Emma. Nadia’s family provided enduring support to her and Bryce throughout his illness. This includes Nadia’s children Jennifer Donnelly (Michael Crosato), Kelly Danner (Chris), Cheryl Alway (Jay), Tyler Danylyk, and numerous grandchildren; Nadia’s siblings Myra Denesevich (Jim Taylor), George Denesevich, Julie Lapointe (Michel), and Luba Vincent (Richard). Also, the love and devotion Bryce shared with his childhood friends was immeasurable. His colleagues at Sobeys Ltd. will fondly remember Bryce; their support and thoughtfulness has been ongoing and greatly appreciated. Bryce’s passion for hockey was nothing short of fanatical and the Chicago Blackhawks was his favorite team. He played hockey from an early age and well into his adulthood. His favorite memory was playing with the Oakville All Stars as a teenager against Sweden. In accordance with Bryce’s wishes and in memory of him, there will be a celebration of his life on Sunday, June 19th at the Bronte Royal Canadian Legion, 79 Jones Street in Oakville from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. All family and friends are invited to attend. Our heartfelt thanks go to the staff at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
