On Saturday, June 12, 2021, Beatrice Oluwadamilola Craig-Babalola passed away in Humber River Hospital, Toronto at age 68. Beatrice was the matriarch of the family; she was strong, selfless, peaceful, generous, and loved to laugh. Her beautiful smile was like sunshine — it lit up any room she walked into.

A graduate of Hospitality Management from Concordia University in Montreal, Beatrice worked as a Chief Catering Officer in Psychiatric Hospital, Lagos, Nigeria. Afterwards, she worked as a Personal Support Worker at Spectrum Health Care in Toronto, Canada. Beatrice enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved to care for others and her favorite food was moi-moi, an African delicacy.

Until her death, Beatrice was a devoted Christian. She loved God; her morning routine included praying and singing praises to God. Her love for her family was never in question. She made enormous sacrifices and put her family first in every situation. Even in times of trials and tribulations, Beatrice always had words of wisdom, faith and hope to offer.

Beatrice is survived by her husband, Albert, her children, Pelumi, Bukky, Tayo and Bola, her brothers, sister, several cousins, nephews, and nieces. She will be deeply missed and remains irreplaceable. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 10a.m., at the Ward Funeral Home, “Woodbridge Chapel” (4671 York Regional Rd 7, Woodbridge, ON, L4L 1S6). The service for Mrs. Babalola is private and by family invite only.
