I'm so sorry to hear of Lois' passing...... I had the pleasure of keeping her company while waiting for my mom recently at Humber Hospital. I can't remember exactly what both were waiting to have done, but we were in the holding bay and Lois lit up the room with her stories :) When the porter arrived for Lois, she said to him boy that was fast.....and I corrected Lois saying.... don't you mean faster than a speeding bullet Lois to which she laughed :)

Lois was our lovely, loquatious neighbour for many years. She always made me feel welcome as part of a community, both at Kennisis Lake and in a broader more philosophical sense. I always found her intelligence, force of character and compassion inspiring. I feel priveleged to have known her for so long. My best wishes to Fred and Greg - I know Lois would have benefitted imensely from the closeness you three have as a family and I wish you both the best in this difficult time.

Lois and Fred and Greg were our long-time neighbours at our cottage on Kennisis Lake in Haliburton, Ont., for almost 40 years. Lois was always a bright, cheerful, caring person. She would share her insights into the goings-on in our neighbourhood at the lake with me, my partner Andrea, and our children Meghan and Damien. Lois had a long and eventful life, active in her Weston community and a good neihbour and good friend. We will miss her. Greg McMaster Edmonton

Farewell to our dear friend, Lois. For over 3 decades we shared lovely Kennisis Lake with Lois, Fred, Greg and many precious dogs! I'll always remember the many stories we heard from Lois - never at a loss for words. Rest in peace. Andrea Waywanko
