Brenan Finch and family
Leyland Bascom had a real zest for life, and it was quite evident to me when I visited him in his Toronto home and spent a night with him and Patricia (Norma) in Feb. 2018. He was already fighting his battle and was determined to go all the way.
His love for our native Guyana (GT) was front and foremost and many of our conversations about the past, present and future included many references to GT.
Ley needed a lot of help and personal care, so his dear wife Norma took time out from her busy work to provide all the necessary TLC to help him through, what turned out to be his final journey of life.
Just a day or two before Ley moved into his now permanent home, his family, no doubt, would cherish forever an absolutely memorable visit with him at the hospital... it was full of love, laughter and reminiscing.
Ley has gone ahead to a place of no more pain, no more travelling to good old G/T, no more lively conversations with words that make you want to consult a dictionary; his soul is now at peace and in a place of perpetual rest. Amen!
